The Arkansas Corps of Engineers has just CONFIRMED that Mayor Jackie Sikes’ tollbooth “guard shack” does NOT need to be placed going into the Marina. The damning email proves that Mayor Jackie Sikes has been LYING to us for months in an attempt to control traffic going into the Marina using her campground as an excuse to do so.
Jackie’s “Tollbooth” Power Grab Exposed
Mayor Jackie Sikes recently set up a “tollbooth” going into the Marina.
Mayor Jackie Sikes claimed her tollbooth was required by the Corps of Engineers. Jackie claimed her duties at the campground required her to control traffic going into the Marina.
Jackie used this “tollbooth” as an excuse to implement insane rules going into the Marina. It’s very dangerous for our city’s tourism!
In the last few weeks alone, Jackie has set up barriers preventing tourists from using certain exits. Jackie even faced complaints with the Corps of Engineers for harassing boat owners going into the Marina.
She even went on camera and claimed her “tollbooth” going into the Marina was a rule REQUIRED by the Arkansas Corps of Engineers. She claimed she was just following the rules!
But that has been exposed as a bald-faced lie!
City Council member Ruth Krotz has just obtained PROOF from the Arkansas Crops of Engineers that Mayor Jackie Sikes has been lying to us for months!
Ruth Krotz Asks If Jackie’s “Tollbooth” Is Required Going Into Marina
Ruth Krotz sent an email to Arkansas Corps of Engineers official Benny Rorie:
“I know you are aware there have been a number of check in issues that have caused quite a ruckus among the Marina customer base… “
Ruth Krotz continued, asking if Jackie’s “guard shack” tollbooth could be relocated to a road going into the campground instead of the Marina so Jackie doesn’t have to bother Marina customers:
“My thoughts are what if we amended the the Marina lease… Her [Jackie Sikes’] guard shack, if she thinks she needs it, could be set up in that area and serve the campground, but would leave the Marina customers unhindered.”
Benny responded very positively, saying:
“If the gate house happened to be relocated, that could eliminate some of the challenges… it is the city’s decision on where they want the gatehouse to be located.”
Benny even went further, saying that this was common practice:
“I think three of the marinas do not have to pass by a gate house…”

Jackie Lied On Camera
Just a few weeks ago, Mayor Jackie Sikes claimed that the only way to resolve the issues at her “guard shack” tollbooth was to require IDs for Marina officials.
She publicly stated on camera that the guard shack was required by the Corps of Engineers and that they were forcing her to do it. We even have the video saved below:
She lied. Plain and simple.
As we predicted from the very beginning, Mayor Jackie set up that guard shack to get more power for herself.
If we don’t stop her, we’re not going to have a Marina left to save.
