Channel 7 KATV and other statewide news sources have officially confirmed that the Jackie Sikes recall petition has been certified and will be on the general election ballot in Fairfield Bay.
“We The Majority” has released a press release detailing serious allegations against Mayor Jackie Sikes and why she must be removed. All allegations against Jackie are confirmed below.
All Allegations Against Mayor Sikes Confirmed Below
The following reasons were given by “We The Majority” for why Mayor Jackie Sikes is being recalled. Channel 7 also reported these very serious allegations.
We have included all allegations below with sources for all allegations. It’s all real:
- Jackie Called Dollar General Leaving City Limits A “Smart Business Move”: “The mayor called Dollar General’s decision to move outside the city limits and avoid paying city taxes as a ‘smart business move.'”
- Mayor Sikes KILLED a $1.1 Million Project: “We believe Mayor Sikes blocked a million-dollar economic development project for our community which would have provided a new boat ramp, parking, and a safer swimming area in the marina area. This also would have increased our tax revenue as more people would utilize businesses in Fairfield Bay.”
- Mayor Jackie Picketed Fairfield Bay’s Largest Business With Signs: “The mayor marched in a picket line on Memorial Day weekend, against the Resort, the largest employer in the city Of Fairfield Bay”
- Mayor Jackie’s Actions Led To A Lawsuit Against Her And Fairfield Bay: “The City is being sued for its behavior before, during and after the Moonshine Festival. (The ‘22 and ‘23 festivals were the highest tax revenue weekends in Fairfield Bay’s history.)”

Even now, after the humiliating certification of the recall effort, Mayor Jackie Sikes refuses to accept blame for her own actions.
