Mayor Jackie Sikes recently retaliated against a former employee by releasing secret videos of her crying. Jackie recorded these videos without the employee’s consent.
By doing this, Mayor Jackie Sikes has shown her true nature.
Mayor Sikes released videos she secretly recorded of a city employee crying due to unreasonable requests about the Senior Center. She did this to make Debbie Bakk look bad. The videos also reveal Mayor Sikes trying to make it seem like the city council supported her actions against Debbie. You can watch these videos online.
These videos came out after the city council passed a “vote of no confidence” against Mayor Sikes for misleading the council and the public.
Debbie Bakk Called Out Jackie
Debbie Bakk recently said she was forced to resign because of Mayor Jackie Sikes.
Debbie claimed Jackie targeted her for no reason, trying to push her out of her job. Debbie said Jackie told her multiple times that she could be fired at any time without reason.
Jackie Releases Secret Recordings to Target Debbie
In an act of revenge, Mayor Sikes released secret videos of Debbie Bakk from 2023 on Facebook. These videos were released without Debbie’s consent and were meant to make Debbie look bad.
Instead, the videos support everything Debbie has said. They show Mayor Sikes trying to turn Debbie against the City Council and Council Member Bella Comas. The videos also confirm that Jackie threatened Debbie’s job.

What Really Happened
City Councilwoman Bella Comas confirmed she suspected something was wrong with Mayor Sikes’ actions involving Debbie Bakk. Bella said she accepted an invitation from Debbie to join the senior community center committee, but the committee was dissolved, and she suspected the mayor was behind it. Bella believes the mayor handpicked her own volunteers and removed her from the budget committee, affecting her work on grants for the senior community center.
Bella’s statement and the released videos suggest Mayor Sikes pressured Debbie Bakk out of her role and retaliated against her for speaking out.
By secretly recording and leaking videos of employees, Mayor Jackie Sikes has shown she lacks the leadership to be mayor. This behavior is unacceptable.
