The Moonshine Festival cut ties with Fairfield Bay after Mayor Jackie Sikes pressured them to leave the city with outrageous demands.
She literally ran them out of town. Our city has lost nearly ten thousand yearly visitors after losing the event.
Now this just happened!
Several days ago, the Moonshine Festival ACCIDENTALLY sent emails to Fairfield Bay residents with receipts from their last concert. They did it accidentally and issued a public announcement explaining what happened telling people what happened. But now Mayor Jackie is telling residents to call the police. She even released a video telling people to contact t the attorney general.
This isn’t political. This is just nuts!
Simple Email Error Leads To Mayor Freakout
It all started when the “Ozark Moonshine & Music Festival” released a public statement telling residents not to worry after receiving an email with receipts from their last concert:
“Howdy folks!
As our team prepares our ticket system for launch, we’ve had questions from a few of you who received a copy of your e-mail receipt from a previous event… Rest assured, if you received one of these emails, there’s no cause for alarm, and you have NOT been charged again. There’s NO sign of any security risk, and your information is safe. An internal system issue apparently generated these extra copies. “

Jackie Sikes Tries To Get Attorney General Involved
Yet Mayor Jackie Sikes decided to release a video a day later telling people to call the police over the incident.
“File a police report on that. Then once you receive a copy of that police report…”
Then she said you should contact the Attorney General:
“Then you can make a complaint to the attorney general’s office.”

This type of outrageous behavior makes our city look incredibly stupid.
Our city is not only being destroyed financially by Mayor Jackie Sikes, but she’s destroying the very credibility of our officials in our city.
Enough is enough. It’s time for the city council to do a vote of no confidence before it’s too late.
We’ve lost the Moonshine Festival. It’s time to stop letting our city be sabaged like this over Jackie’s petty political squabbles. Period.
