Butler is a convicted felon who was sentenced to years in prison for extortion and conspiracy while he worked as a corrupt public official in Memphis. Butler was tried and convicted by a jury. As of right now, Jim Butler is advising Mayor Jackie Sikes and quietly backing her special projects. He’s even behind the group “We Love Jackie Sikes.”

Mayor’s Advisor Convicted For Bribery And Political Corruption

In 1980, Mayor Jackie Sikes advisor Jim Butler was convicted by a jury in Memphis, Tennessee. His crime? He engaged in criminal conspiracy and extortion to control a county’s building projects.

Butler was convicted of four counts of conspiracy and extortion in violation of the Hobbs Act.

What did he do?

Butler used his position as the Director of Public Works for Shelby County to launch a “pay-to-play” scheme to accept bribes to push other people’s political agendas for profit. He took bribes to launch certain “road projects” and would pick and choose projects depending on how much he got paid by third parties.

Fast forward to today, Jim Butler meets with Mayor Jackie Sikes on a regular basis and orchestrates her political agendas in Fairfield Bay.

Jim Butler Advises Mayor Jackie Behind The Scenes

In coordination with Martin Bailey, who is helping him spread leaked phone calls on social media targeting Community Club members, Jim Butler is trying to bring down the Fairfield Bay Community Club. It’s an attempt control the city of Fairfield Bay.

A document sent to the Arkansas Ethics Commission praising Jackie Sikes shows that Jim Butler is behind a group called “We Love Jackie Sikes.”
